this is a pic of Arlin climbing Worthington Glacier. yes I was left behind to do laundry and notify the next of kin....not really I chose not to participate in this adventure. He said it was an experience he will not soon forget. The weather has been goregous and we have seen a lot of Alaska in 2 weeks but now it is time for Sara and Chuck to catch their flight and we will be on our own once again. Not sure if we will head tomorrow for the lower 48 or spend a little more time here. we did venture to mcarthy road this time and it was not as bad as we had anticipated. spending wednesday night there. thursday night was spent at Palmer and we visit the ever famous Alaska State fair on friday and I'm sure it will be our last time. now we are in Anchorage waiting for their flight at midnight. BTW the first pic is a sand sculpture at the fair. the 2nd is the information center at the end of mcarthy road.

Talked to Sara on Sunday, she said their flight was even worse than on the way out. Darryl called today and again just wanted to know when his mommy was coming home. Mowed your field, I mean yard, today! Visited with Dwayne and family. Eric has picked up another Ethan habit - he looks at you with sad little eyes and says "hug, hug"! Showed Greg the pic of Dad climbing, he said "Yeah right, he is probably laying on the gound!! Brother Dennis couldn't believe Dad was climbing glaciers and Mom was flying in planes! Also, saw Priscilla at Wal-Mart and she asked how you guys were doing.

the world is coming to an end -- mom in planes and dad ice climbing! next thing you know greg will stop drinking and chuck will stop eating! oh, wait, let's not be ridiculous now....
