It's over

The wedding was beautiful! There were a few disappointments like rain but it didn't dampen our spirits. Even though the ceremony took place in the Colonade Room it turned out to be great as well. Now it is time for some for R & R. Plans are for taking the fifth wheel out for a few days. Tried to download some pics but evidently blogger doesn't want to cooperate. Oh well I will try again later.

Wedding countdown

Only 3 more days before the wedding.. Darryl's has had trouble with truck and Sara's flight was canceled tonight. Besides all of that things are going well. Paige's dress worked out great considering I had to make hers out of a size 16 skirt and a top that was a 6(ladies size that is). She is only a child size 7. Debbie and I went shopping today and she chose an outfit for me for the rehearsal dinner. That was fun! I am really looking forward to the wedding. Oh, Sara and Chuck's flight is at 9:05 in the morning. We will be taking both trucks to St. Louis so that Darryl has something to bring the dogs to the country. Now the countdown has begun and every minute counts.

Ethan is 5 now

I thought I would share Ethan's 5th Birthday pic, which is also on our anniversary ( Caleb's is on Angie's parent's anniversary). Of course the theme was "Cars". Paige, Eric, Caleb, and Ethan went to see the movie and loved it. Every time he would see us the question was "when are we going camping Grandma?" So the camping trip to Hawn State Park was part of his birthday. Now we have fulfilled that request! The summer seems to be going by quickly and we still have a lot of things to do.

Grandkids..

This is our little Pujols(not sure of that spelling). His number is 5 and he thinks it is for Albert Pujols.
We took Paige, Caleb, and Ethan camping at Hawn State Park from Sunday until today, Tuesday. Wow, am I ever out of shape on being a parent. The energy they have is unreal.

Have we seen it all?

We saw this sign in Alberta and decided to check it out. It read "Head Smashed-In Buffalo Jump". He knew what it was because he is an avid Louie Lamour reader. It was interesting but I would not make a special trip to see it. If you are really interested google it online. The other pic is bird nests on a cliff that supposedly the Indians stampeded the buffalo off to their destination (death). Click on the pic of the cliff to get a better view of the nests. That was neat!

300000 MILES

Here's proof!!! Old Blue made it to 300000 miles and did it in Canada. We are near Red Deer, AB tonight and will be delivering a unit to Western RV tomorrow and then heading home. What a way to spend our 42nd anniversary (on the road) . Should be back in the states by Wednesday evening going down thru Montana. Next week I will be staying home trying to finish Paige's dress for the wedding.

Big One?

No I don't mean heart attack. I just had a birthday and don't really care to dwell on what number. It was hard to accept when he turned the big one let alone ME! Now don't get the wrong idea and think it was the social security one either. Of course we were on the road that day going thru Arkansas and then to Abilene, Texas. He went to Indiana and picked up the unit and then stopped by for me. He has already called wanting to go to Canada next week. A long run next week and than I need to stay home and work on Paige's dress for the wedding and do some other things. Hard to believe it is in 3 weeks. Seems like the summer is in full swing.
